What a wonderful couple of hours I had with Melis & Dimitrios and their friends!
At the end of this shoot, I said these actual words to the couple; “Right now, I’m happier than I’ve been all year!” I wasn’t mucking around – their wedding was my first wedding photo shoot of 2021. I miss wedding photography in Liverpool SO MUCH!! Thank goodness that we’re nearly at the end of this hideous lockdown and that weddings are going ahead again!
I loved so much about this little wedding shoot. First, the international element – Melis is Turkish and Dimitrios is Greek – a rare combination! Secondly, we got to do a US-style first look, much as I’d done back in October with Tori & Brent. Finally, the uniqueness of the whole affair – I learned about a Turkish wedding tradition and perhaps best of all, no one even mentioned Captain Correlli’s Mandolin in the readings. We had Turkish poetry instead. It was wonderful! I hope you like these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
