It’s simple really – make sure your venue is fabulous indoors (sorry about all that alliteration – sometimes I can’t help myself!). Hannah and Andrew chose the Doubletree by Hilton in Liverpool city centre for this very reason. It’s rapidly becoming one of my favourite venues to perform my favourite task – taking beautiful wedding photographs of happy people getting married!
The day started at Hannah’s dad’s house where Hannah threw herself whole-heartedly into the goal of extracting as much fun out of her wedding day as she could – you’ll see this in the photos! From there, we went on to St Paul’s RC Church in West Derby, where I don’t think I’ve seen so much laughter in a wedding ceremony before. Yes, the priest got the bride’s name wrong! We had great plans to then dash off to Mann Island, the Open Eye Gallery and Canning Dock, not to mention the Three Graces. What a fantastic location for wedding photos! But the weather dashed our hopes and kept us inside for the rest of the day. But as I mentioned above, when it comes to wedding photography in a wet and wintry Liverpool, you’re hard pushed to find a more versatile venue in the city centre than the Doubletree! Take a look at these photos – you might find yourself agreeing 🙂 Oh – you may spot a couple in this wedding, James & Rachel, whose wedding I’d already photographed. I love it when that happens!
Hannah and Andrew very kindly posted me a review on Google:
“Everyone enjoyed my wedding. I know that, not because I was there on the day, that flew by far too quick and I don’t remember half of it because so much happened. No, I know it because of the photos taken by Dan. Looking through my wedding photographs was like reliving the day, and seeing everything. The photos themselves capture the atmosphere of the day perfectly. The man himself is a true professional. Knowing exactly what shots are best and how to get them. Working with the surroundings to produce truly amazing results. Couldn’t be happier with our photographs and highly recommended!”
