I may have been a southerner for the first 30 years of my life, but my roots are right here in the north west. Recently, whilst chatting about the family tree with my cousins in Leeds, I found out that in addition to my mum being from Bacup, a great-great-grandfather had sailed over the Irish Sea from Dublin to settle in… Liverpool! It really does feel like my genes have gently called me home, and frankly, there’s no part of the country I’d rather be in, particularly when it comes to Wedding Photography.
Liverpool only ceased to be an official part of Lancashire in 1889 and it’s still on the county’s doorstep of course. Lancashire is full of wide sweeping vistas and quirky rustic venues, so it’s right up my street for my style of wedding photography.
