Ruth and Lee got married in Crosby Hall Educational Trust (or CHET to its friends) in April.
It is truly a hidden gem of a venue – well off the beaten track but oozing charm and versatility, come rain or shine. Thankfully we had the latter!
Their wedding day was as quirky as the venue: Ruth and her Dad arrived in a wonderful sage-green, vintage Morris Minor instead of the usual white mock-vintage wedding cars. Lee is an astonishingly skilled pianist and so insisted on playing the grand piano that CHET has available while Ruth and her dad came down the aisle – he only needed a gentle reminder from me to actually stop playing and go and get married! (This was also the case come first dance – there wasn’t one, as Lee was playing with his blues band, providing the live music for the party!) There was loads of time in the schedule for relaxing – this allowed for some guests to have a game of frisbee in the yard. I even got it down from the roof for them, poor things! The day was just great fun from start to finish and I think these wedding photos show that well.
