Yes, it’s that time of year again, when I trawl through the 30,000+ photos I took in the previous year and pick my favourites. 2014 was my busiest year ever, with 37 weddings photographed in Liverpool, Cheshire and Wirral. Every one was memorable, every one was unique, every one was a privilege to be involved in.
How did 2014 compare to 2013? Well, the weather was better for a start. I got to shoot in some new venues that I hadn’t worked in before, including Rookery Hall in Nantwich and the stunning Chateau Rhianfa on Anglesey. This more than made up for the fact that I didn’t get to photograph at Knowsley Hall at all, which was a bit of a mystery as I’d shot there 4 times in 2013 and, so far, I’ll be shooting there 3 times in 2015. The most popular 2014 venue by far was Inglewood Manor – 4 weddings. Other high points were shooting at Anfield Stadium twice, travelling all the way down south for Matt & Miriam’s wedding at South Farm and witnessing a proposal after the catching of the bouquet. Exciting times!
