Photographing weddings in the north west of England can certainly be challenging due to the weather!
This summer, I seemed to have a shedload of good weather. I’m not very good at remembering what the weather was like one year to the next, but 2014 seemed to be mostly out of doors type weather, which for Emma and Chris, meant that they could get married on the terrace at Inglewood Manor. Now, due to the vagaries of UK Marriage Ceremony Law, you can’t actually get married outside – there has to be a ‘roof’ over your head. Inglewood Manor has a balcony over the back door to the terrace, which sufficed as a roof and so the ceremony could go ahead outside, which was lovely. All the guests sat outside in the gorgeous sunshine and I managed to squeeze myself into the corner to capture all those little glances between the two love-birds 🙂 Emma had to take quite a stroll though the grounds with her dad to be able to walk up the aisle without being seen, but she managed it and made quite an entrance as she came up the steps from the lower lawn area. Their wedding remains the only one I’ve photographed ‘outdoors’ at Inglewood Manor, so I’m hoping to be able to do it again some time. If you’re getting married there, why not consider it for your ceremony and me as your photographer?
