Julia, Pablo and myself had visited a park near to their church to choose where we were going to do their couple shots. It had everything you could want from an outdoor shoot – open grassy meadows, raised wooden walkways through woodland and paths spangled with dappled sunlight coming through the leaves. Glorious! Naturally, on the actual day of their wedding, it rained and rained. Grr. So, we had to make do with the recreation ground opposite the church. Another example of why hiring a professional for your wedding photos is really essential if you don’t want to end up disappointed. I had to think on my feet for this one, particularly since their evening venue had little to speak of in the way of photographic opportunities – but it was at least surrounded by brick paved roads which provided some nice backgrounds for some extra couple shots.
