Let’s face it – saying you’re a Cheshire Wedding Photographer and not including a shoot from the incredible Belle Epoque in Knutsford is like saying you’re a Liverpool Wedding Photographer and not including anything from St George’s Hall!
So without any further delay, here are some favourites from Nikki and Kenny’s wedding day back in 2012. They were fantastic fun to be with and we really enjoyed our day with them. I always love to hear my couples’ meeting-for-the-first-time tales, and theirs was probably the best yet – they actually met on a TV gameshow! I think it was that cash-in-the-box thing with Noel Edmunds, but it was about 6 years ago, and I’ve shot a lot of weddings since then!
They wanted a candle-lit ceremony, which is fine – as long as there’s some window light somewhere. So their ceremony was incredibly dark and moody, but looked amazing. The Belle Epoque is a beautiful venue anyway, and lit as it was on Nikki and Kenny’s day, it just looked perfect. My cameras are very adept at capturing shots in low light but back in 2012 I was using a Canon 5DmkII which was operating at the peak of its low light ability. These days, I shoot with two 5DmkIIIs which rule in the dark. I sure would love to shoot a candle-lit ceremony there again now! Their band were the superb Under The Covers – if they’re still around, they’re well worth booking!
