I’d always thought that Knowsley Hall was where it was at for wedding photography bliss in the North West, and then Helen & Adeeb came to see me. “Thornton Manor, you say?”

When we visited the venue for our pre-wedding scheduling meeting, I was pretty much knocked sideways by what I found there. Thornton Manor is now joint-first with Knowsley Hall in my list of incredible places to get married in the Liverpool area. I simply love it there! Now, you can read what Adeeb had to say about his wedding photographs here, but before you do that, take a look at some of them on this post. Like Knowsley Hall, Thornton Manor is simply oozing with fabulous locations for wedding photographs. The site is huge, with large areas where you can get away from the crowds for those lovely, relaxed, intimate couple shots. Couples can choose from three distinct locations there too – the main house, the woodland marquee and the lakeside marquee. Helen & Adeeb chose the main house and were not disappointed. We had lovely weather on our day there, but if it should be raining on your wedding day, you’ll have no concerns here. There’s so many period decorated rooms to choose from, it’s almost too much! You can see that I took advantage of every nook and cranny I could find there, including the amazing servants’ hidden access corridor. Using this adventurous route allows the bride to enter the wedding room from the exterior – and from the front of the room! This gives the bridal procession a truly unique perspective (and helps prevent everyone getting cricks in their necks too!) This wonderful couple even honoured my assistant and I by seating us with their guests during the meal; a lovely thing to do. If you like what you see, and you’re getting married at Thornton Manor, then please do get in touch.
