Another Liverpool/Cheshire wedding where the footie tried to get in the way!
This isn’t the first time that massive international events have coincided with my customers’ wedding plans. I’ve had enormous puppet giants parading in the streets, Rock’n’Roll marathons and England World Cup knockout football matches (see Heather & Dileep’s wedding for more on that one). But Beth & Scott’s wedding was the first one where the couple concerned fully embraced the clash and incorporated it right into their big day. The event in question? Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur in the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final. Now, it mightn’t have been the most exciting game of football ever, but Liverpool did win 2-0 which certainly added a lot more celebration to the overall high level of joy over their wedding.
Overall, Beth & Scott’s wedding day was one of the most enjoyable I’ve ever experienced. Lovely couple, surrounded by their lovely families. COVID-19 may’ve ruined a lot of people’s wedding plans this last year or so, but when I look at weddings like theirs, it reminds me that those good times are surely returning to us.
