One of the main reasons that I love being a wedding photographer in Cheshire is the extraordinary number of amazing places I get to photograph couples in.
It’s a real privilege to have these locations revealed to you as the years go by and it’s still something that amazes me with every shoot that I get to do at a new venue.
I’d never heard of this location before and we nearly didn’t end up photographing Kelly & Cormac’s bridal party and couple shots at the fabulous Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden… because we didn’t know it was there! A quick off the cuff comment from one of the staff at the hotel was all there was needed for me to discover somewhere really, really great for wedding photography in Warrington. It was a real god-send as I didn’t know the area well and was going to have to resort to the time-honoured classic technique of scouring the area in Google Maps satellite view for likely contenders. As it was, the staff member’s tip paid off and we managed to get some truly beautiful wedding photos for this lovely couple. I’ve probably mentioned this elsewhere on my wedding photography blog, but the one thing I just cannot resist is a couple walking through a summer meadow. Grappen Heys obliged with the long grass and my assistant Camila captured a truly perfect shot of Kelly and Cormac wandering through it together. I hope you agree – I’d love to shoot there again! Kelly & Cormac got married at St. Leo’s Church, Whiston and Fir Grove Hotel, Warrington with a little jolly off to the Walled Garden in between. A great day!
