Hurray for new decades and new blog posts! Here’s my favourite shots from 2019.
I loved every shoot from last year and had a fabulous time on every single one. I got to do my first wedding shoot in the Lake District (and of course it rained all day!) and had the best bit of feedback from a bride ever: “You were born for this, mate!” Actually, for such a blistering hot summer, I seemed to spend far too much time stuck indoors on rainy wedding days, but I was very glad to still be able to produce beautiful wedding photographs for all my Liverpool, Cheshire and Wirral wedding couples – not to mention Southport too! I still consider being paid to attend weddings with a bag full of cameras to be an astonishing privilege that I hope never stops being extended to me. Each of these weddings has special memories of its own – from rejoicing with fellow Christians as they tie the knot to feeling that warm glow of genuine friendship with so many of the couples. You can see photos here from The Shankly Hotel, Church Farm, New House Farm in the Lakes, Leasowe Castle, The Liver Building, 30 James Street, Aintree Racecourse, Lancashire Manor Hotel and The Isla Gladstone Conservatory to name but a few. As usual, I’m indebted to my fabulous assistants, Lindy, Linda and Tom – you can see some of their photos here.
