Oh my days, it was hot on Roisin and Andrew’s wedding day!
It was the August Bank Holiday weekend and we’d planned to pop over to Formby Sands or Crosby Beach for the couple shots but it was clear that nearly the entire population of Liverpool were thinking the same thing, so we nixed that idea and hurried off to Formby Hall Golf Club to do the shots there. The parts of the course that are accessible are beautiful for wedding photography, and when you’ve got a couple as wonderful as Roisin and Andrew, you’re in for a great shoot.
Perhaps my favourite feature of their super hot wedding day were the tiny easels that Roisin had decorated by hand – one for each guest. This might not sound much, but every one was unique – and Roisin made them all. Quite an astonishing feat of table decoration!
The day finished off with my top wedding party tip – a live band. I highly recommend that if you’re booking a band, get them to play your first dance track too – much more romantic than an MP3…
Since posting this wedding, I’m delighted to report that I’ll be photographing Roisin’s sister’s wedding in 2020 – I can’t wait to see everyone again!
