Man alive, I really love aeroplanes! I also really love photographing weddings.

Put the two together and you have a very happy me. Short of someone getting married at the Southport Airshow (now there’s an idea for you!), the only place in Liverpool for wedding photography with planes in is at the Crowne Plaza in Speke. I was back there in March on an unseasonally cold day – it was blowing a gale (normal for weddings in Liverpool!) but really really cold too. Thankfully, things warmed up in the early evening – the wind dropped and the temperature didn’t seem quite so arctic anymore. A plus side is that the ridiculous fairy lights have finally been removed from the replica biplane out front. A rather negative side is that the fierce storms a few weeks before Nikki and Chris’ wedding removed not only the fairy lights but also the plane. Oh well. Still loads out the back!

Nikki and Chris’ wedding was characterised by the obvious deep love for each other that was so clear to see. We had a fab time at their wedding and I know they did too. Here’s some highlights…
